History of Swamiji
  • The Ashta-Math Vision and Pilgrimages

P.P. Shreemad Raghuchandra Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji were given deeksha by their guru and resided primarily at the Math in Gokarna. Inspired by the system at Udupi established by Srimad Madhwacharya, they envisioned a rotating worship system for the Partagali Math and selected eight Vatus for sanyasa. However, following divine will after some shishyas attained Haripada, they ultimately handed over the Mudras, Padukas, and the Sri Ramdev Veera Vithal vigraha to P.P. Shreemad Lakshmi Narayana Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji. Records show that during their 13-year tenure, they visited Varanasi three times for pilgrimage and dharma prachara.

    Administrative Diligence and Legacy

P.P. Swamiji was a diligent administrator who ensured the long-term stability of the Math's properties. During a stay in Varanasi, they noticed a lack of proper documentation and personally purchased additional land, ensuring all deeds were officially registered with the Kazi of Kashi and signed by witnesses. They attained Haripada while camping at the Sri Rama Mandira in Honavar on Pushya Shukla Poornima, Srisaka 1604.
