History of Swamiji
  • Divine Accession and Service

P.P. Shreemad Kamalanatha Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji succeeded P.P. Shreemad Indirakanta Teerth Swamiji as the 21st Guru of the Samsthan. Their spiritual journey was marked by deep devotion and service to the lineage. Before their short independent reign, they spent over three decades as a shishya, assisting their guru in administrative and religious duties. As per their guru's instruction, they gave sannyasa deeksha to their chosen shishya, P.P. Shreemad Dwarakanatha Teerth Swamiji, shortly after their own accession to the Peetha.

    Institutional Stewardship and Construction

During their tenure, P.P. Swamiji oversaw several significant projects that contributed to the physical and administrative stability of the Matha. This included the establishment of the Muralidhar Matha in Karwar and the extensive renovation of the Gokarna and Venkatapur Mathas. they were also responsible for the modernization of portions of the Partagali Matha and the construction of a guest bungalow for pilgrims. furthermore, they installed new wheels for the historic grand chariot (Ratha) used during festivals.

    Legacy of Devotion

One of the most notable acts of P.P. Shreemad Kamalanatha Teerth Swamiji was the donation of their personal ancestral land to the Matha. they specifically arranged for the revenue from this land to fund the annual Shri Ramajanmotsava celebrations, starting from Chaitra Shukla Chaturthi. this ensured that the Rama Navami festivities, which traditionally began on the Panchami, would henceforth commence a day earlier. despite a short independent tenure of less than a year, their impact on the Matha’s traditions and assets remains enduring.

    Mahanirvana

P.P. Shreemad Kamalanatha Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji attained Haripada on Chaitra Shukla Ekadashi of Saka 1865 at the Partagali Matha. they entered vrundavana shortly after the first anniversary of their guru's mahanirvana, leaving behind a legacy of selfless contribution and structured religious observance.
