History of Swamiji
  • Leadership through Change

P.P. Shreemad Bhuvijaya Ramachandra Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji were given deeksha at the Partagali Math by their guru P.P. Shreemad Srikantha Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji. Their active leadership, noted in records from Shrisaka 1700, saw the Samsthan grow financially sound, enabling the acquisition of lands in Nagarse. They were prolific in their pilgrimages and maintained a close spiritual bond with the Vyasaraja Math, often traveling with P.P. Shreemad Lakshminath Teerth Swamiji. They were felicitated by the people of Kundapur and the Gowda Saraswat community in Hulekal.

Their letters, including a detailed account written in Shrisaka 1723, record the challenges of the era. They noted that British authorities had begun imposing restrictions on traditional honors like the Palanquin and Chatra, obstacles that had not been seen even under previous rulers. They actively advocated for the rights of Hindu saints through diplomatic channels, instructing devotees to contact the British General and the Kings in Mumbai. They attained Haripada while staying at the Ankola Math.
