The Shree Venkataraman Devasthan of Gangolli is one of the five original Malyar Maths, which is why it is frequently referred to as the Malyar Math. Historically, the entire Math premises and its assets were managed by the Acharya family of Senapur. In a significant transition, they handed over the leadership and the complete property to P.P. Shreemad Dwarakanatha Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji (22nd Guru) on March 16, 1945. In 1956, P.P. Shreemad Dwarakanatha Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji led the major renovation of the Agrashala and installed the gold-plated Shikhar Kalash. Further spiritual enhancements were made on July 11, 1984, when P.P. Shreemad Vidyadhiraja Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji installed a single-stone Dhwajasthambh.
