The Mudigeri Shaka Math was established around 1755 A.D. by the twelth Guru, P.P. Shreemad Kamalakantha Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji. The temple complex is known for its serene spiritual atmosphere and features a separate shrine for Shree Maruti in front of the Matha. The Math has witnessed several significant events, including the Punar-Pratishtha (re-installation) ceremonies performed by P.P. Shreemad Ananda Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji in 1825 and more recently by P.P. Shreemad Vidyadhiraja Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji in 2011.
