P.P. Shreemad Purushottama Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji were given deeksha by their guru at Bhatkal. They were a highly learned and erudite personality. To guide the Gauda Saraswata community in performing their daily (nitya) and occasional (naikittika) rituals, P.P. Swamiji composed 'Karma Siddhanta', which remains a popular and essential reference book. Another significant grantha penned by them is 'Sanyasa Paddhati'. After initiating their successor to carry forward the great tradition, P.P. Swamiji attained Haripada in Gokarn.
